SCR announces premium superfast service

The South Central Railway has announced 16 premium superfast weekly trains between Nanded and Amritsar to clear the extra rush of passengers in the summer.

Accordingly, train no. 04601 will leave Nanded at 11:15 a.m. on Fridays, May 9, 16, 23 & 30 and June 6, 13, 20 & 27, to reach Amritsar at 10.30 p.m. the next day. In the opposite direction, train no. 04602 will leave Amritsar at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21 & 28 and June 4, 11, 18 & 25, to reach Nanded at 11.45 p.m. the next day. They will stops only at five places en route - Akola, Bhopal, Jhansi, New Delhi and Ludhiana.

The unique features of ‘premium’ train service are that it is a reserved service, targeting those who are willing to pay a premium fare for confirmed berths while booking. Also, the fare structure is variable and follows a dynamic pricing model, including catering charges. Booking is possible only through the IRCTC portal and vacant berths available after charting will be issued at current day booking counters at the originating stations.

Only confirmed tickets will be issued for these premium trains and there will be no refund.

Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers irrespective of their age.
