Schools demand rent for conducting TET

Andhra Pradesh Recognised School Managements Association has requested the government to pay rent to the private schools chosen for Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) to be held on Sunday.

The Association president, S. Sreenivas Reddy said in a statement here said that the government was collecting Rs. 300 from every candidate for the TET but has not paid any money to the schools where TET was being held. Mr. Sreenivas Reddy reminded that the APPSC and other government and semi-government recruitment agencies pay rent and other expenditure for utilising private school premises as examination centres.

Similarly, the government should also pay rent for the TET, Mr Reddy said.
