Hyderabad police on Thursday arrested Mohammed Salahuddin Ayub, Director of Parkwood International School, located at Manneguda, about 60 km from here, on the charge of sexually assaulting a student of the school.

A rape case was registered against him three days ago after parents of a student approached the police alleging that he had violated the teenager for the past few months. The director lived in a penthouse on the premises of the residential school at Manneguda in Vikarabad of neighbouring Ranga Reddy district.

According to the First Information Report, the director summoned the girl, who is a minor, to his penthouse on March 10 and sexually assaulted her after offering a cool drink laced with some drug. He allegedly raped her again at gunpoint at the same place a few days later and threatened to kill her and even harm her younger sister studying in the same school.

The accused allegedly clicked photographs and threatened to make them public if she complained to anyone, investigators said. The girl told the police that the director used to administer pills to her to prevent pregnancy and even took her to a doctor in the city.

Special teams led by Detective Department DCP, J. Satyanarayana, collected circumstantial evidence by questioning the school students, staff and the doctor who examined the student. The director's revolver was seized.
