Scholarships given away to 29 NCC cadets

Students asked to aim for excellence

National Cadet Corps Nizamabad Group Commander Colonel D. K. Gupta distributed scholarships to 29 outstanding NCC cadets of the erstwhile Karimnagar district for their higher education.

Col Gupta visited the 9 (Telangana) NCC battalion in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. On this occasion, he inspected the unit, details of parade documents, academic calendar and social service programmes of the unit. On this occasion, he distributed scholarships, of ₹ 6,000 each sanctioned from the welfare fund, to three senior division cadets, eight senior wing, six cadets of junior division and 12 from junior wing cadets.

He also called upon the NCC cadets to utilize the scholarships for their education and achieve their goals in their chosen career. Commander 9 (Telangana) battalion Colonel Deshpande, NCC officer Lt. R. Sanjeev, Subedar Major Purushotham and others were present.
