A range of art forms and cultural storytelling was showcased at the Kerala Tourism Partnership Meet in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Kerala is trying to boost tourist footfalls by 100%. “Most Indian and foreign tourists who come to Kerala want to experience its cultural heritage, but we are trying to showcase that culture is not limited to dance forms. It extends to other aspects of life. Our temple festivals, cuisine and rural crafts can only add to the travellers’ experience,” said Sudha Rani of Kerala government.

Kerala is also trying to pitch the Kochi Muziris Biennale as the premier contemporory art event and Muziris Heritage Project to draw in history buffs from other parts of India. Kerala Tourism has organised similar partnership meets across the country in cities like Mumbai, Pune, Visakhapatnam and others to market itself as the tourist destination of India.
