Two-time Grand Slam winner and Telangana Brand Ambassador Sania Mirza said on Friday that her autobiography would be out soon as most of it is complete and has now gone for final editing. “It is almost over. I only had to add the last two years of my career when so many things have happened,” she said.

No, she is not keen on a film career though offers have come by. “There is no way I am going to act in either Hollywood or Bollywood,” quipped the champion tennis player at a promotional event for Sony Pix TV which will be telecasting a series of programmes and movies of James Bond from Saturday.

Fan of James Bond movies

“Essentially, I am a very shy person and not really keen on these things,” she exclaimed. Reflecting on what made her hooked to Pix School of BONDing in which she gives lessons on ‘The Bondway to a woman’s heart’, a smiling Sania reminded that she was always a huge fan of James Bond movies.

“They have action, there is style and passion, the gadgets are amazing, beautiful men and women in the star cast, there is lot of fun and the dressings are very impressive,” she pointed out.

“My favourite James Bond hero is Pierce Brosnan. I think many woman will agree with me,” remarked Sania, in her elements in handling the media.

Reflecting on the shoot for the James Bond promotion campaign, the famous Hyderabadi revealed that she had to give many re-takes on the first day since the dialogues are pretty long but by the second day she felt comfortable. “I appreciate my production team for being very understanding,” said a smiling Sania.

Keeping fingers crossed

She also does not want to look too far ahead towards playing in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

“I play 45 tournaments before the 2016 Games. So, you never know you may even retire before that,” she quipped, before signing off.

Saurabh Yagnik, executive VP & business head, Sony Pix and AXN, said all the Bond titles made on the fascinating British spy would be telecast, clubbing old world charm with modern day mysteries for the next 12 weeks.
