India’s two-time Grand Slam winner, Sania Mirza, has created some sort of ‘twitter storm’ on Tuesday when she tweeted on the social networking site Twitter “Truly irresistible. Mirza Sania Mirza ;-) Going ahead with BONDing. Need ur good wishes”.

A tweet which apparently sent the media across the country into a tizzy with the phones of the Mirzas ringing through the evening – by some in anticipation of more details about Sania likely donning a role in a James Bond movie.

However, the matter of fact is that the ace tennis player from Hyderabad is only acting in a promotional series for a TV channel which is going on air with a series of programmes including movies on James Bond. Sania, who is in Mumbai on Tuesday with her mother Naseema Mirza, interestingly met one of her favourite film stars Madhuri Dixit and not surprisingly posted a picture of hers with the famous actress.

“No there is nothing like Sania acting in a Bond movie. She is actually promoting a TV programme about James Bond,” said Imran Mirza, father-cum-coach of the Telangana Brand Ambassador.

Even her mother Nasima countered when contacted by The Hindu : “Do you believe it?” she gently asked.
