Ruling on civil judges’ selection reserved

March 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 08:16 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising Chief Justice Kalyanjyothi Sen Gupta and Justice P.V.Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday said that appropriate interim orders in a batch of cases filed regarding the ongoing selection process to fill the posts of junior civil judges will be passed on Friday. It may be recalled that several cases had been filed in the High Court challenging the present selection process, broadly contending that the candidates from Telangana would be put to a loss as the notification covers both the States of AP and Telangana in view of a common High Court. Lengthy arguments were advanced on Wednesday regarding the fixation of roster points for reservation in the light of separate judicial service rules for Telangana. The bench reserved orders for Friday after the hearing.
