The website of the A.P. State Road Transport Corporation - www.apsrtc.gov.in was hacked late on Sunday afternoon, allegedly by a group that calls itself ‘Aryan Hunters’.

Even as complaints started flowing into the mobile phones of some corporation officials, the RTC’s IT personnel got into the act and restored the site and the homepage.

When contacted, Executive Director-Operations, G.V. Ramana Rao said the website had indeed been hacked, but added that the portal running the online passenger reservation system was unaffected. “No reservations were hit,” he affirmed.

It was said that because the incident took place late on a holiday and because it was handled well and damage control measures were in place, officials would register a complaint with the police only on Monday.
