Several members of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India, industrialists and employees of the Mines and Geology Department donated about Rs. 2 crore as their donation for revival and restoration of minor irrigation tanks taken up by the State Government under Mission Kakatiya programme. They called on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in groups and handed over cheques to him in the presence of Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao here on Tuesday. Eleven members of CREDAI also came forward to adopt 11 tanks. The restoration works would be taken up by the CREDAI members themselves in an agreement with the Irrigation Department. – Special Correspondent
