Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Sunday said the country's strength with a population of over 100 crore lay in the fact that despite several faiths and religions, there was ‘unity in diversity'.

Speaking at the ‘Eid-Milap' organised by the AP Congress Committee, he said though religion per se was something personal, it was important for people of one denomination to understand the sentiments of those from other religions. D. Srinivas, APCC president, said the ‘milap' could not be organised last year due to the demise of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Ministers Syed Mohd. Ahmedullah and D. Nagender attended.
