Tyrannical Nizam

It was Kaloji Narayana Rao, who spearheaded the peoples' movements and rose in revolt against the tyrannical Nizam rulers and even after.

Presiding over the meeting, poet V. R. Vidyarthi said Kaloji's poetry reflected the contemporary times and inspired scores of people to fight against the discrimination and injustices perpetuated in the region.

It was organised by the Kaloji Foundation and Kaloji Mithra Mandali at Arts College premises. Veteran Urdu poet Masood recalled the contributions of Kaloji Rameshwar to the Urdu literature and how he encouraged his younger brother Narayana Rao.

Arts College principal Prof. Mallikarjun Rao, writers A. Naveen and K. Jitendra Babu, poets Rama Chandramouli, Kovela Supprasannacharya and several others took part.

Earlier, the poets and writers garlanded the statue of Mr. Kaloji Narayana Rao at Nakkalgutta crossroads.
