Rich tributes paid to former CM

21st death anniversary of Dr. Marri Chenna Reddy observed

Former governor of Uttar Pradesh and former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Marri Chenna Reddy was remembered for his services to the State and his contribution to bringing Telangana agitation to the national map at his 21st death anniversary observed on Saturday.

Congress leaders paid floral tributes to the late leader at Chenna Reddy Memorial near Indira Park.

Services recalled

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, former Union minister Oscar Fernandez and senior leaders like Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Danam Nagender, Anjan Kumar Yadav, Banda Karthika Reddy and Marri Sashidhar Reddy and other family members of Dr. Chenna Reddy were among those who paid tributes.

Later, at a meeting organised at Gandhi Bhavan, the leaders recalled the services of Dr. Reddy and said his name would be etched forever in people’s memory for his administrative skills and the development activities during his tenure.
