Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Cherupalli Seetha Ramulu of the CPI (M) has demanded that the State government take urgent steps to ensure reduction of the skyrocketing prices of yarn and other raw material for bailing out the weavers from the present crisis. Mr Seetha Ramulu participated in a meeting organised by the Chenetha Karmika Sangham here on Sunday.

Speaking to newspersons on the occasion, Mr Seetha Ramulu deplored that the State government ignored problems faced by the agitated weavers due to the multifold increase in the cost of yarn and other raw material.
