Roads washed out
The recent rains exposed the shoddy patchwork done by the GHMC. With tar-filled potholes weaning off on most of the roads, the poor maintenance of roads is frustrating. New Bhoiguda, like many other areas has been affected the worst with the underpass at railway bridge being filled with water. As a result, motorists and pedestrians face extreme difficulties. I appeal to the GHMC to entrust civil engineers of excellence with the task of laying and maintaining roads in order to mitigate the sufferings of people during monsoon.

Overflowing sewer
For the past one month, due to the rains, water flooding, drainage/sewerage overflow, bad roads have become the biggest issue for Anandbagh, Safilguda, Malkajgiri, and Bramarambika Nagar. Water has entered into the houses of ground floors leading to damage of household items. I request the GHMC and Municipal Minister KTR to take up remedial measures at least now.

Fire crackers
The Supreme Court judgement on the restriction of firecrackers in New Delhi is a welcome sign to control the highly polluted air engulfing the city, creating several health problems. I request the Telangana government to restrict the usage of firecrackers in Hyderabad and allow it from evening 6.30 -9.30 pm only on festival day and encourage the people to light the natural diyas to celebrate Deepavali for a happy and pollution-free environment
