Raghurama Rao is Director of NIPER

Senior professor of Kakatiya University Pharmacy College A. Raghurama Rao has been appointed director of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali, Punjab for a period of five years.

Professor Raghurama Rao received a communication to this effect on Tuesday.

Having more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in the field of pharmacy, he has guided 24 research scholars for their Ph.D., 10 major research projects; published research papers in national and international journals.

He was honoured with Best Teacher award by the Telangana government in 2016. He has also received Dr. Mrs. Manjushree Pal Memorial Award in 2010 and Young Teachers Award in 1995 instituted by the All India Council for Tecnical Education (AICTE).

He visited the USA, Germany and UAE in pursuit of his research.

Professor Raghurama Rao strived for the development of the KU Pharmacy College as principal, dean, department head, Board of Studies Chairperson.

Faculty members, research scholars and students congratulated him on his appointment.
