Former MP, V. Hanumantha Rao has accused the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of wasting public money on the proposed construction of a new Secretariat at the Bison Polo grounds for his blind belief that it would bring good fortunes to his son.

Mr. Rao, who held an opinion poll at various places in the city on the proposed construction of a new Secretariat through a ballot, said it was unfortunate that the CM is believing some Vaastu experts who had allegedly revealed to him that his son K.T. Rama Rao could become the Chief Minister only after constructing a new Secretariat. He suggested to the Chief Minister to construct a sports complex at Bison Polo that can produce medal winning sportsmen at national and international level.

The senior Congress leader said there was good response from the people on the issue and the ballot boxes would be kept at Hyderabad Press Club and counting would be taken up the next day in the presence of Indian Journalists Union (IJU) leader and Mana Telangana Editor K. Srinivas Reddy.
