‘Property Tax Parishkaram’ today

GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar will be conducting ‘Property Tax Parishkaram’ (PTP) on March 1 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

He appealed to all the property tax payers to come up with their grievances of their respective circles pertaining to pending mutations, legal cases, revision petitions, new assessment of properties and any other tax-related matters.

He assured that the grievances would be solved either on the spot or would be followed up and solved at the earliest. The programme will being conducted in all Circles offices on Sunday for the convenience of the tax payers to settle their property tax pending issues.

Sanitation matters

Mr. Kumar was also upset with littering on the roadsides and wanted all health officials to report before 6 a.m. He wanted responsibility to be fixed on sanitary staff working in respective areas.

He also warned against shops and business establishments for throwing garbage indiscriminately and said heavy penalties would be levied. Surprise inspections will be taken up by five teams in each zone along with random inspections by the Commissioner himself.
