November 19, 2013 12:32 am | Updated November 16, 2021 07:44 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The Saidabad police on Monday arrested the Principal of Vikas Bharathi High School on charges of misbehaving with a class IX girl student.

The police said the 14-year-old was refusing to go to school for the past four days.

When her parents enquired about the reasons, she said that the Principal, T. Yogeswara Rao (56), had been misbehaving with her for the last two months.

Enraged over this, the parents along with their neighbours came to the school and picked up an argument with Rao and later lodged a complaint with the Saidabad police station.

“We booked a case against Rao under the Nirbhaya Act and arrested him. He was also remanded to judicial custody in the evening,” said Saidabad Inspector A. Srinivasulu.
