A mason Shareef Pasha was arrested by the Falaknuma police here on Monday on charge of sexually assaulting a minor girl affected by polio two days ago.
The victim aged about 16 years was alone outside her house on the hills of Nawabsaabkunta when Pasha approached her three days ago. The teenager cannot walk and hence was left outside the single room house by their parents when they went out for work.
Stating that her mother was calling, Pasha allegedly took the girl into her house and violated her, the Falaknuma ACP Taher Ali said. The minor's parents lodged a complaint with the police who registered a rape case and picked up the mason.
The arrested man is being produced before the court.
