Police speak to Uday Kiran’s psychiatrist

The actor had last met the doctor two years ago

January 09, 2014 10:38 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 09:26 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

As part of the probe into the death of actor Uday Kiran, police spoke to the psychiatrist who had counselled him earlier.

The psychiatrist told police that the actor had not met her in the recent past but had attended counselling sessions two years ago. “He was in depression and was counselled accordingly,” she reportedly told the investigators.

But, police could not meet the woman financier who had arranged money for a film starring Kiran, as she was in Anantapur and claimed to be unwell.

Meanwhile, police said they were awaiting the autopsy report, which would determine their course of action.
