The city police raided a pub in the upmarket Jubilee Hills area a little after Friday midnight and registered a case against the pub management under the City Police Act.

“We found Over The Moon pub management violating rules like serving food beyond permitted hours and playing high decibel music,” West Zone DCP V. Satyanarayana said on Saturday.

A case was registered against Akshay Naik and two workers of the pub. They were taken into custody and later let off.

The DCP said a raid was carried out on the pub a few weeks ago.

“It was found violating the law and if the management continues to violate the rules, we will initiate steps to cancel the licence of the pub,” he warned.
