January 07, 2015 12:48 am | Updated 12:48 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Begum Bazaar police on Monday conducted a decoy operation at the All India Industrial Exhibition popular known as Numaish and exposed lapses in the security.

A constable in civilian clothes entered into the exhibition grounds through the main gate carrying a pistol concealed in his clothes. “The security personnel did not frisk the man properly. We briefed them about the security procedure and asked them to thoroughly check every visitor,” Inspector Begum Bazaar, G Sridhar said.

The Central Zone police have already conducted a training programme for the security personnel and volunteers of Numaish before the beginning of the 45-day event.
