Police asked to file counter in Danam case

Justice Nuty Ramamohana Rao of AP High Court on Tuesday directed the city police to file counter affidavit regarding the stage in the criminal case pending against Danam Nagender wherein Tirupathi Varma was at the receiving end.

The judge was passing orders on a writ petition filed by Varma who alleged that the police were not acting against the former minister in various criminal cases. The police filed progress report last week regarding the cases. The judge wanted to know specifically the action taken and proposed next stage in criminal case pertaining to the attack on Varma and posted the case to next Tuesday.
