Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will arrive in the city for the inauguration of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on Tuesday, will meet State leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Begumpet Airport to discuss the party’s local affairs.

Speaking to mediapersons on Sunday, Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy said Mr. Modi will speak to the leaders for 15 minutes and then fly to Miyapur in a chopper to inaugurate the Metro Rail. “Mr. Modi is likely to take a ride from Miyapur to Kukatpally after inauguration,” he said.

The complete itinerary of Mr. Modi and US President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, has been received and so far, it shows no proposal of Ms. Trump going for shopping in Laad Bazaar near Charminar as had been speculated.

Mr. Reddy said delegates participating in the GES will stay at 21 star hotels across the city and security sanitisation is underway there. “As many as 10,400 police personnel, including 6,000 civil and 1,500 traffic cops, 50 dog squads and 40 teams of Anti Sabotage checks will be deployed for the twin events,” the DGP said, adding that roads leading to HICC, Taj Falaknuma Palace hotel and Golconda fort would be monitored by nine different teams.

Stating that elaborate security measures are in place, he said efforts are on to ensure public inconvenience is ‘minimised’.

The US government will host a dinner on the summit’s closing day, apart from dinners hosted by both Central and State governments at Falaknuma Palace and Golconda fort on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, he said. There will be no regulation of visitors to Golconda fort, but restrictions will be imposed on Wednesday in view of dinner that evening.
