Plea for probe into illegal constructions

July 23, 2014 12:03 am | Updated 12:03 am IST - HYDERABAD

: Forum for Good Governance has urged Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to set up an inquiry commission, headed by a high court judge to probe the unauthorised constructions in the city.

The probe panel should also suggest ways to deal with the existing illegal constructions, Forum secretary, M. Padmanabha Reddy, said in a press release. Mr. Reddy alleged that illegal constructions have mushroomed due to laxity and connivance of the municipal staff as well as involvement of politicians.
