Leading solar power equipment manufacturer Photon Energy has announced that Ushodaya Enterprises, the publishers of Eenadu daily, would enhance the capacity of their existing 6.5 MW solar power plant by another 3.5 MW.

Photon energy had set up the 6.5 MW Midjil solar power plant, the largest in the country, with trackers to supply 12 million units a year energy for printing the daily. In four months of its operation, the plant achieved 30 per cent Plant Load Factor (PLF) [7,000 units for each MW], considered the highest in the country.

In a press release, the company said the trackers deployed by the company enabled higher generation from the plant as they orient the solar modules in line with the movement of the sun.
