Petition against sada bainama dismissed

June 21, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 01:17 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Justice A. Rajasekhar Reddy of Hyderabad High Court on Monday dismissed the petition challenging GO 153 issued to regularise land transactions on unregistered documents (sada bainama) for less than 5 acres in Telangana.

V. Upender of Warangal contended that the scheduled areas have to be kept out of the purview of this G.O.

This G.O permits sada bainama (plain paper) to be the basis for regularisation of transactions for less than 5 acres in the rural areas. The government told the court that such an examination is already provided under the A.P Rights in Land and Pattedar Passbooks Act, 1971. Based upon this, this case was dismissed. - Special Correspondent
