Pay packet offers for IIT-H students up 12 %

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has registered growth of 12 percent in average salary in the placements this year.

The IIT-H official said that so far 42 undergraduate students have been placed with average salary of Rs. 11 lakh per annum with the highest being Rs. 28 lakh per annum. Among the M.Tech students the average is Rs. 11 lakh per annum and the highest offered was Rs. 29 lakh per annum. Two international companies visited the campus so far and made three offers.

Some of the companies that visited campus include Amazon, Bank of America, Tata Motors, Mercedes Benz, HP, Eaton, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Strands Life Science, Bank of America, Paypal, UHG, UURMI, Yahoo Japan, Works application, Informatica, Dell R&D. About 344 students registered for the present placement season, according to a press release.
