Pawan on hunt for office space

Says his party office will not cause inconvenience to people

The initial hype of launching his Jana Sena Party is over and done with. Now that Pawan Kalyan has made it clear that he would neither be contesting the Assembly/Parliamentary elections himself, nor would be fielding anyone on behalf of the party, the immediate task on hand is finding space suitable to locate his party office anywhere around Hyderabad.

During an interaction, the actor and founder-president of the party said he was keen on locating the party office at least 20 km away from the heart of the city to ensure that no resident was disturbed. “As political leaders, we may think that we are so important to people that we can disturb their peace anytime. But we forget that we have a responsibility not to disturb people in any way, so myself and a few friends are trying hard to locate such an office,” he stated. How does one reach him or anyone responsible in his party? “I am working that out. By the end of the year, I will be ready with a list of office-bearers and contact details. Before that I will have a full-fledged office too and have in place enough volunteers who will handle the initial expression of interest from people who wish to join me in my endeavour to usher in social change,” he says.

He accepts that logistics of the endeavour to float a political party were huge. “I have supporters but not the organisation needed, apart from a band of trusted friends and I know that it is very difficult to make people comfortable when I have embarked on such a huge task, a social responsibility of the kind I envisage,” he says.

He admits though that until an office is found and opening a channel for free communication between those interested in society and those responsible in the party, things would be in a fluid state. Until then, he will be the only spokesperson of the party too. As of now, Mr. Kalyan says that it is office-bearers and members of his fan clubs in the districts who are keeping communication channels active.
