Partly burnt body of man found

A partly burnt body of an unidentified man aged around 30 years was found at Jawaharnagar on Sunday. The police suspect that the miscreants killed the man at some other place and brought the body to a secluded place near Chennapur Lake. “The killers might have dumped the body in the pit near the lake and set it ablaze,” Jawaharnagar Inspector P. Venkatagiri said. Locals who noticed the body in the morning alerted the police who rushed to the spot and shifted it to Gandhi Hospital.

Cordon and search operation

The cordon and search operations continued in the city on Sunday too.

The west zone police conducted the exercise at the Brindavan Colony in Tolichowki and a few areas in Asifnagar and Goshamahal.. Around 20 suspects were taken into custody while the police detained 25 history sheeters.
