A little humour does not hurt anyone, but many a time, it can leave people worried as the intent could border on insinuation.

So appears to be the case with parody twitter handles of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangna BJP State president G. Kishan Reddy. While one does not know who is behind the creation of these parody handles, the tweets going out in the name of these two leaders are going viral among their rivals.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu (@ncbn) and Mr. Kishan Reddy (@kishanreddybjp) are active on social media networks, particularly on twitter, to reach out to their followers. Some time ago, two twitter parody accounts were created in their names. While Mr. Naidu’s “parody” handle is (@CBN_TDP), the BJP leader’s handle is (@kushanreddybjp).

Both the accounts have the photographs of the leaders, which have apparently been downloaded from websites or twitter profiles. Tweets on these two fake accounts are self-deprecatory, some of them bordering on offensive. Cartoons published in various Telugu magazines and papers are liberally used. Mr. Kishan Reddy said he would soon request twitter to deactivate the parody account as he feels it is offensive.
