Panther scare again in Shamshabad

After a brief lull, a panther surfaced at Chaudharyguda near Shamshabad, killing a calf late on Saturday night. Similar attacks on cattle were reported a month back, creating panic in the area.

Forest officials visited the spot and collected the tracking for analysis.

An analysis of the earlier marks collected had ruled out the possibility of a panther being behind the attacks, an official said. “Traps have been in place since the last attacks,” he said.
