September 04, 2013 02:14 pm | Updated June 02, 2016 09:11 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The web options for engineering courses opened on Tuesday with more than 14,000 students exercising their options on the first day.

Rankers from 1 to 40,000 were asked to give their web options on September 3 and 4. Officials said 25,900 candidates from the top 40,000 rankers attended the certificate verification and among them 14,000 gave their options on the first day. Despite the ongoing agitation in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts the helpline centres functioned smoothly.

Officials, however, said that students preferred to give options from their personal computers or from the Internet centres. Some students also visited the helpline centres to take the help of the teaching staff.

Meanwhile, the certificate verification will continue till September 11 and students who have missed out for some reason can get their certificates verified at any helpline centre before September 11 and also give their web options immediately.
