December 17, 2017 11:28 pm | Updated 11:28 pm IST - ADILABAD

Former member of Parliament from Warangal and a senior Lambada leader D. Ravindra Naik on Sunday alleged involvement of ‘outsiders’ in the violent incidents taking place in Agency areas of Adilabad and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts.

He said the Adivasis who went on a rampage in the Agency area belonged to other States.

In a chat with The Hindu Mr. Naik accused the State government of not only failing to control the violence but also instigating Adivasis in perpetrating it against Lambadas. He quoted the latest incidents of violence in support of his charge.

Continuing in the same vein, the former MP said police was actually helping the Adivasis in carrying out violent incidents. “Despite prohibitory orders the Adivasis are able to take out rallies and indulge in rampages,” he pointed out to buttress his contention.
