Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) leader Pidamarthi Ravi and eight other members of the committee were arrested by the Narayanaguda police on Tuesday after they allegedly barged into Narayana School and intimidated its staff members.

Ravi and his associates told the police that they didn’t come to create trouble but wanted to question the school management about sacking an employee without valid reasons. The Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee leader and members were picked up even as they entered into argument with the school staff.

A criminal case under sections 448 (trespass) and 506 (intimidation) of Indian Penal Code was registered against them.

On learning that the OUJAC was planning to stage demonstrations, police posted pickets at almost all Narayana group of educational institutions in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
