The Telangana Government has directed the Fisheries Department to keep one lakh fishlings ready for distribution of fish medicine at the Exhibition Grounds here on June 8.

Distribution

Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Wednesday reviewed the arrangements for the distribution of fish medicine that would attract thousands of people from across and outside the State and the country as a possible cure for Ásthma.

Traditional medicine

The traditional medicine is administered by the family of Bathina Harinath brothers for the last several years on a particular day in the month of June.

Officials of all departments should coordinate and make arrangements, particularly for the smooth passage of traffic and parking of vehicles and ensure that no inconvenience is caused to people who would be assembling at the Exhibition Grounds on the day, he said.

The officials of Fisheries, GHMC, Revenue, Health, Traffic Police, Electricity, R&B, Water Works and others attended the review meeting.

Special buses

The Minister said that 110 special buses would be plied by RTC and mobile teams from fisheries would supply fishlings and volunteers who would administer the fish medicine would work in three shifts.

The Fisheries Minister asked the Bathina brothers to keep adequate medicine ready and told the officials to keep the Exhibition Grounds premises clean.

Four ambulances should be stationed at the venue and if required health camps should also be organised, he added.
