One held in job fraud case

The Kachiguda Police on Thursday arrested one Thota Balaji Naidu, on a charge of duping unemployed people with false promises of providing jobs under the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu, a government scheme.

Junior engineer

Naidu was dismissed from service after being arrested on charges of corruption while working as junior engineer with NTPC at Visakhapatnam. He was earlier arrested thrice for allegedly taking money from youngsters with a promise to finding jobs for them in the government.

Released recently

Naidu was released from prison a few months ago. He again approached people who were looking out for jobs and took money from them, promising to find suitable employment for them, Kachiguda Inspector Ch.Y. Srinivas Kumar said.

In another case, the Kachiguda Police recovered stolen cameras and silver ornaments, all worth Rs. 1.5 lakh, after arresting three persons, G. Sudhakar, N. Surender and Nandi Kumar.

The trio used to burgle houses.
