Old City remains peaceful

Those commuting to Secunderabad through MMTS or bus have a tough time

In contrast to the tense atmosphere that prevailed in various parts of the State capital due to the ‘Chalo Assembly’ call given by the TJAC, life by and large remained normal and peaceful in parts of the Old City. However, business establishments in complained of low customer turnout owing to the bandh-like situation in the other parts of the city. The markets in and around the Charminar sported a dull look as people from the other parts of the city could not make it due to many traffic restrictions and tension.

As a precautionary measure, police made elaborate security arrangements near Andhra Pradesh High Court and City College as a precautionary measure.
