NTPC organises rural sports

The NTPC-Ramagundam under its CSR programme in association with Sports Council has organised Rural Sports Meet 2017-18 on Saturday at M G stadium of the township.

Inaugurating the sports event, TSRTC Chairman and Ramagundam legislator S. Satyanarayana appreciated the NTPC CSR for organizing the Rural Sports meet and providing platform for the budding athletes. He further hoped that the event would help in creating healthy competition among students.

Some 400 students from 15 government high schools of Ramagundam, Palakurthy and Antergaon mandals participated in the one-day event featuring Volleyball for boys, Kabbadi for girls and 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meters relay both for boys and for girls.

GM (O&M) Ravindra, Head of HR M. S. Ramesh, Sports Council president G. Rajsekhar, HoDs, office bearers of different associations and union, CSR officials and other were present in large numbers in the opening session. Former director (technical) and first general manager of NTPC Ramagundam M. A. Hai gave away the prizes to the winners in the evening.
