Denizens can enrol for Aadhaar from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m., said a statement from Karvy, the sole agency designated to issue the identity cards in Hyderabad. Enrolment has been made possible every day of the week.

Extra personnel have also been pressed into service so as to increase the handling capacity from 1,200 to 2,500 applications per day to tackle the rush following the Telangana Government’s direction to link Aadhaar with ration cards.

The statement also said a token system had been introduced to ensure citizens need not wait for long hours at the office. Sufficient security and senior management personnel were also present to provide convenience to citizens.

The various documents required for getting an Aadhaar card have been put on display along with a help desk to provide guidance. Special entry will also be provided for senior citizens, disabled and women.
