Artist-professor Stanley Suresh’s works can now be viewed on a dedicated app

Art is just an app away. City-based artist Stanley Suresh has gone virtual with his works, with the launch of an individual art gallery on smartphones.

Using the free app, smartphone users can now browse through the works of the professor, who is the head of the department at the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University. Apart from his creative endeavours, updates on forthcoming events as also the latest at Suresh Studio can be accessed on the move. Launching the concept at his Jubilee Hills studio here on Friday, Prof. Suresh said the facility was now available on the three major platforms of iOS (Apple Inc.), Android (Google) and Windows (Microsoft).

These three platforms together cover over 95 per cent of the world’s smartphone market, said Amaresh Kumar Pandari, chief executive of Innovus Technologies, which developed the software. In three weeks time, Blackberry too would be covered.

“We have been receiving tremendous response after testing the Beta version. We’ve uploaded 26 paintings and three exhibits have already been sold,” he claimed.

The app can be downloaded free of cost in over 32 countries. With this synergy of art and technology, an artist can reach his customers and art lovers across the globe in a jiffy, Mr. Pandari added.
