Noted cartoonist Mohan passes away

Noted cartoonist and writer T. Mohan passed away at a corporate hospital late on Wednesday night.

The 67-year-old was reputed for his political cartoons and was admitted to the hospital following a digestive tract ailment. He died while undergoing treatment.

Born in Eluru in 1951, Mohan started his journey as a journalist as sub editor in Visaalandhra in 1970. He worked in various Telugu dailies before becoming a cartoonist.

Chief ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, K. Chandrasekhar Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and senior journalists expressed shock over at the death of the cartoonist and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family.
