No power cut for Ramzan

In view of the ongoing Ramzan month, the Central Power Distribution Company has made necessary arrangements for continuous power supply, a press note from the company informed on Thursday.

Sixteen additional mobile transformers have been arranged to cater to the increasing loads, respectively at Charminar, Osmania Bazar, RJ Market, BG Market, SBH City Branch, Bhagyalaxmi Complex, Balala Estate, Patherghatti, Ainagalli, Pitty Dresses, Masqati Gulshan, Manjili Begum Haveli, Motigalli and Edgah Miralam.

Tree-felling work

Tree-cutting works have been taken up on all feeders in addition to necessary repairs, the CPDCL press release added.

Loose spans around the mosques have been rectified and poles, conductors, insulators and DTR structures for all lines along the important routes checked, the press release said.

Control room

A round-the-clock electricity control room with telephone numbers 23433471 and 23433281 has been set up at the Charminar CBD office for receiving and attending to complaints.

Special duty

An Additional Assistant Engineer, Operations, Hussaini Alam, Khaja Jamal Shareef (Ph: 9440812937) will be available at Mecca Masjid on special duty to coordinate with CBD and Operations staff during the entire month of Ramzan, the company informed, according to the company's press release.
