Ten days after he walked away from his daughter’s wedding reception in Sacramento County in California, Moparty Venkata Shiva Rama Prasad’s body was discovered on Monday, according to delayed reports reaching here. Family members have been informed about the discovery of the body by Sheriff’s Department.
Earlier, last week, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department had suspended its search for the Hyderabad-based NMDC Assistant Manager who went to the US for his daughter’s wedding and stepped out of the wedding reception venue near Grand Island Mansion at around 4 p.m. on February 13. Family members informed the US police about Moparti suffering from depression.
According to media reports in the US, the Sheriff's Department had launched a massive search operation in the areas around Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove since the time of his disappearance. A land, water and air search were carried out without success and the search was called off last Tuesday.
