Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced that the Congress will start a newspaper and television news channel soon.
Addressing the party cadre at the training workshop conducted here, Mr. Reddy said the party’s programmes were not getting enough focus as mainstream media were shying away from covering them, under the influence of the ruling TRS.
He urged the cadre to use social media effectively to strengthen the party. Claiming that the Congress would win 90 seats in the 2019 elections, Mr. Reddy said a bus yatra would soon be taken up towards strengthening the party among masses. Slight commotion prevailed during Mr. Reddy’s speech when MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy staged a walkout miffed at not being invited to the stage.
