New Registrar for EFLU

A former Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, Gopal Reddy has been appointed as the new Registrar of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) on Wednesday.

University officials said that the Vice-Chancellor Amritavalli appointed the Registrar on ad hoc basis for three months and his tenure can be extended if required. The post has been lying vacant for more than a year. Sources said that his appointment is being viewed as a strong measure to take the ongoing CBI enquiry into ‘irregularities' of former Vice-Chancellor, Abhay Maurya to the logical end.
