New NFC Chief Executive

Distinguished scientist G. Kalyanakrishnan took over as the new Chief Executive of Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) here on Wednesday replacing N. Saibaba, who retired on completion of two years of extended period of service.

Mr. Kalyanakrishnan will also be the Chairman of the NFC Board and prior to this assignment, he was the Deputy Chief Executive, NFC. Having experience in erection, commissioning and operation of Heavy Water Plants, he made several pioneering contributions in streamlining various activities/operations of the plants leading to their improved performance. As Deputy Chief Executive he was also responsible for the NFC’s record production of 1,252 MT and 1503 MT of fuel assemblies during 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively. After obtaining the bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the-then Regional Engineering College, Warangal in 1980, Mr. Kalyanakrishan joined the 24{+t}{+h}batch of 1980-81 Training School of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai for one year Orientation Course in Nuclear Engineering.
