Nehru Zoo receives two Tamarin monkeys

The Nehru Zoological Park on Wednesday received two Tamarin monkeys as a gift from the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation. The zoo, which received the monkeys on Wednesday, shifted them to the quarantine area where they will be kept for observation and then moved to the display area on completion of the quarantine period.

According to a press release issued by the zoo, Tamarin monkeys, which mostly live in groups, are native to South America, Columbia and Amazon.
