NDDB to set up centre for bovine breeding

The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) is setting up a Centre for Advancement of Bovine Breeding in Hyderabad.

The facility will undertake applied research and training in bovine breeding. Presently, there is no such exclusive centre in the country. A release from the Board on Wednesday announced this after the Bhoomi Puja ceremony, in which chairman Dilip Rath participated.

Mr. Rath said NDDB develops technologies that are need-based, innovative and affordable.

The research and development centre will have integrated facilities of laboratory, animal sheds and training centre at the NDDB Campus, Hyderabad.

The centre will take up R&D and advanced training in Advanced reproduction technology – Embryo Transfer (ET), OPU and IVF.
